Thane Police selected Intellve to set up their First Command and Control Centre
Thane Police Commissionerate is a unique Police Unit as it comprises of four Municipal Corporations (Thane, Bhiwandi, Ulhasnagar, and Kalyan-Dombivali) and two Municipal Councils (Ambernath and Badlapur) and a number of small villages, covering 571.27 sq.kms. of area and a population of about 7 million.

The Challenge

The cameras are installed at various junctions that are provided by the corporators, but not centrally monitored. Thane police also wanted to monitor cameras installed in various public gathering establishments like Malls, Cinema Halls, Hospitals etc. on need basis in case of any untoward incident to be handled.

Additionally, CCTV surveillance systems that were installed were of different makes and consisted of different types of technologies like Analogue, Digital Video Recorders, Network Video Recorders and IP Cameras. Integrating them on a Single Video Management System was technically challenging and time consuming as there was no committed bandwidth or SLA’s from their end which resulted in loss of videos.

The Intellve Advantage

A Command and Control Centre was set up by Intellve for Thane Police Commissionerate. Created different adaptors and methodologies to bring all the Surveillance devices to a single platform.

Thane police are now able to view all cameras at their centralised Command & Control Centre situated at Thane Commissionerate in Kalwa. During heavy rainy days the Command & Control Centre monitors the traffic and minimises traffic jams and coordinates with the Thane Municipality to remove the water logging.
